The Olmsted - West Side of 3200 block St. Paul Street
The Olmsted is the culmination of a community-inspired and community-led revitalization of the Charles Village neighborhood from just north of E. 33rd Street to just south of E. 31st Streets along St. Paul Street.
The building know known as The Olmsted (formerly Village West) has undergone several design and program changes in order to better reflect the community’s needs and the changing market. The current program will offer 107 market rate residential units, over 15,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space and a 525- space parking garage. Formerly the building included 82 for-sale residential units, 28,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space and a 575-space public parking garage.
The majority of the parking (395 spaces) will be a public parking garage, owned and operated by the Baltimore Parking Authority. The added parking will greatly alleviate parking concerns in the neighborhood.
In addition, in accordance with the developer’s mission to create sustainable urban communities, The Olmsted is designed as a LEED Silver Certified structure and will be 35 percent more energy efficient than the current energy standard. Few LEED medal resdential projects exist in the United States, and fewer still are located along the East Coast. SBER is proud to help distinguish Baltimore as a forward-thinking urban center.
The main resident entrance to Village West will be located along St. Paul, closer to E. 33rd than E. 32nd. The building’s new address will be 3200 St. Paul.
